The Belforte Trust is a small team made up of Trustees and an Advisor - we work to ensure our funds have the maximum impact for animals.

Francesca Rossi, Trustee

Francesca is a Solicitor with a vast experience in dealing with private client matters, including the administration of trusts and estates. She routinely assists charitable beneficiaries and advises trustees of charitable and non-charitable trusts on their duties and powers.

Francesca enjoys taking part in fund raising activities for various charities and she is an active member of her local community volunteer association. Francesca is a also a full member of the Society for Trusts and Estates Practitioners (STEP).

Ugo Tanda, Trustee

Ugo is a highly experienced lawyer, qualified in both Italy and the UK. With over 20 years of experience, he advises individuals and businesses in both countries. Alongside his legal work, Ugo is passionate about animal welfare and along with the Founder, set up The Belforte Trust to support this cause.

His love for animals is evident in his personal life too, where he shares his home with four dogs and four cats. Ugo is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of animals and to use his legal expertise to support this mission.

Charles Joseph, Trustee

Charles has an MBA and a post graduate Diploma in Marketing. He has an extensive background in business, project and service delivery management, developed across a wide spectrum of activity in the private sector and currently works for the NHS.

Charles has an interest in volunteering, helping projects that address the real needs of people affected by dementia, and outside of this is an accomplished and award-winning photographer and an avid animal lover. 

Philip Mansbridge, Advisor

Philip has many years of experience in senior leadership charity roles focusing on animals, conservation and plant-based and sustainable food interventions.

Having headed up organisations including ProVeg UK, IFAW UK and Care for the Wild International, and having worked for leading rescue organisations including Battersea Dogs and Cats Home and Cats Protection, he now operates on a freelance basis helping animal charities maximise their impact and potential.
